PODZ EYEWEAR In the last year, Podz and Dr. SunRx have grown tremendously: We have moved into a larger corporate building, hired fresh new faces to promote our products and have begun work on even more innova- tive products to release in the near future! We are very proud of these changes and are thankful for all of the salons that have helped us get where we are. As the president of the company, I enjoy working and learning with my staff. I truly believe that no matter how much one per- son knows, you can always gain more knowledge. In life, it's important to be as much of a student as you are a teacher. More recently, our staff has been focused on how important it is to properly educate everyone about what is going on in the industry. This doesn't merely include our products, but also distributors, salon own- ers and their workers. Podz Eyewear has been around for five years and we are still teaching people how to open a Classic Podz. Our lotion has been on the market for almost three years now, and the concept of vitamin D absorption is still exciting and new to many salons. That is why Podz and Dr. SunRx constantly preach the value of education to salons. We recognize the fact that our minds are always hungry for fresh and fun ideas, and that is why we've decided to dedicate time to give salons a fun way to gain knowledge. 103 SMART TAN MAGAZINE [ SmartTan.com We now have a PodzCast each Wednesday at 2 p.m. CST that anyone can listen to! We will take this 30-minute show and use it to discuss what is going on in the industry. Each show will feature special guests including distributors, the ITA or professionals in the industry. The great thing about the show is that it isn't a sales pitch! It's just an entertaining discus- sion about all of the important topics in our industry. Even though we've done only a few shows, we've already discovered so many educa- tional opportunities! We learn something new from each show and feel blessed to be able to share the material with salons across the world.
