corporate update SWEDISH BEAUTY Swedish Beauty Donates to iSun Tan 24/7 for Crohn's Awareness After announcing on social media this past January that Swedish Beauty® hoped to partner with salons working with charitable organizations in 2013, an overwhelming response followed. Salons from across the U.S. and Canada wrote in, detailing the work they do to give back in their communities. One of the winners was iSun Tan 24/7 from Clear Lake, Iowa. iSun Tan holds an annual Cupcakes for Crohn's promotion each April during National Crohn's Awareness Month, with all proceeds from sales going to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America. They also feature lotions on special discount during the month, to entice customers to participate. Additionally, Swedish Beauty® donated a gift basket flled with lotions and skincare items to be given to one lucky winner who made a donation. iSun Tan raised a total of over $500 toward Crohn's Awareness during the promotions. SUN RX Podz Eyewear and Dr. Sun RX Give to Breast Cancer Causes Podz Eyewear and Dr. Sun Rx have donated over fve percent of sales to local breast cancer charities so far in 2013 through product and cash donation. They have also worked hard to donate their time to the effort. Mrs. Hogan feels this is a great cause and is happy to have her employee involved. "I will always support my employees donating their time to a great cause. We are always open to ways to get involved with great causes. Helping others is something I truly enjoy doing." President Christy Hogan thinks it is important as a company to always give back in some way. She strives to keep an active role in charity work, along with her employees. "Getting involved in your community is extremely important," says Hogan. "By giving back to a cause that means something to myself and my company, it becomes more than just sales, it's about lives impacted."
